Hey guys. I live in New Zealand and am currently attending high school at the 6th form level (year 12, no idea what that is in terms of your education system).
Once I have finished Highschool I plan to move to America for awhile to play paintball and was wondering if it was at all possible to get a scholorship to attend an American University through paintball?

I have no idea at all as to how your education system works over there so all advice is appreciated.

Basic help and starting a club

Okay guys, me and my buds need some help. Currently we are in the process of making a paintball team at VCU so we can compete in the NCPA. The main problem we are having is how we will get funding for this program since paintball is so expensive. Any suggestions on going about that? How have you all dealt with the funds? Also ANY helpful information would be great, for we are very enthusiastic about doing this.

Also does anyone know what the format and style of play of NCPA is?...

My son informed me last night that rather than pursuing music as his major in college he would like to find a college with a paintball team.

Can anyone tell me where to find a listing of colleges that have teams? Are scholarships available or is it considered an extracurricular activity?

According to the college-paintball website, the MACC confrence was created for the NC/Virginia Area. Currently there are no teams in this confrence. Why, i am not sure. But with this confrence, it would greatly cut down on travel cost for all teams in the confrence

I think the confrence should be expanded to contain VA, TN, NC, SC, and possibly KY and WV.

I'm currently attending UCR, and the meetings that were held to start new clubs were unfortunately held during my classes.
I'm just wondering if there is still hope, and if there is, what can I do about it?

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't find that right answer.

Just wondering if theres any stock-class teams in the NCPA or if anyone is looking to get one started at their school. I'm going to try to start a stock-class team at whichever college i end up going to after i get out of the Marines in a year and was just wondering who else would like to start a team at another school.

hello, I currently attend Brandeis University, just by Boston. We are looking to start competitive paintball (there is already a club that plays rec-ball) and were wondering if there are Boston area schools that play regularly. Also, is there a schedule of tournaments for this 06-07 school year? I am thinking of starting a club here at Chico state in California. I got backing from the school already and I got a field lined up. All I have to do now is set up a booth to get members. Just wondering being new to the world of paintball clubs is there anything I should know? Thanks a lot!
