Who from the Midwest is looking at going to nationals and is planning on taking a bus? NIU is looking at it, and would be bringing 8. Just wondering on other schools so that we can get this figured out.
Columbia is interested, I was just going to post the same thing. We want to see how much it will be per person, right now flight and hotel from Chicago (flaying friday to monday) is 230 per person. We would probably have no more than 8 but I think we may be running on the low end 5-6. I requested a quote form CoachUSA already and I'm waiting to hear from them.

If you are planning on flying on Friday and coming back Monday, there is always Rockford, www.Iflytma.com. It would be just for the flight, $185. Also for a bus there is busbank.com, you just let them know how many and where you are going and they get you quotes on how much it would be.
Rockford would be too far away we have both O'Hare and Midway, and 185 w/o hotel vs. 230 w/ hotel I think the 230 is a better deal, but if there is an Illinois bus that's even cheaper then we would be happy with that.

SIU might be intrested...we still are in the process of talking all of this over. If we go we should have twelve people...but right now its really unoffical.
Up in Michigan, I was was looking at about $400 per person for airfare, hotel and a minivan. The hotel is 2 miles away but if there is a shuttle, then perhaps we won't need it.
The bus thing is still being considered but with finals, I don't have time to be partying on a bus

Where are people thinking about having everyone meet for a bus? CMU is going to try and get a team together for nationals, and seeing as how PIttsburgh is in right in between the NEIC and MICT centers of activity, we're not sure which bus we'd want to try adn get on.
GVSU is setting up a bus for nationals, we'll have 54 total seats and are trying to make total price end up at $150ish a person plus about $10 for lodging, the more people the cheaper remember. We currently have 10 from GVSU going, 10 from MTU, 7 from NIU maybe some others. If you are interested we are leaving from GVSU (Grand Rapids Michigan) and going to make 1 stop to pick up NIU, not sure where yet so there will be 2 pickup points. Spots are limited so if you are interested I'll need to know asap, the bus is already reserved with a deposit. If we fill up the bus with 50 people it'll be about $130 a person plus lodging. The bus has a DVD player and stuff on it and a bathroom on board. We are leaving April 15th in the afternoon/night, staying overnight at a hotel 2 miles from the Disney complex on friday, playing Saturday and leaving Saturday night after the tournament some time to get back home by Sunday night (our exams start that Monday).
