I got a call from Milt with Brimstone the other day, and he wants some college teams to help debute his new format of paintball at IAO. Its called Arena Ball. Its a 3-man format where you play the best of 7 game series with 1 minute between each game. They had Brimestone Smoke play a match at Ultimate Madness and it was some fast paced paintball. He's trying to get this format to take off. It is a crowd pleasing show that has the paint consumption of a 5man game. He's been talking with ESPN and realizes that for it to take off, it really needs to start with the colleges. He even mentioned running a league from Fall to Spring to accomodate colleges. Anyway, you can have a roster of 7 players, there is no entry, all that it will cost is paint. The event will be from Friday July 18th to Sunday July 20th. It will be in a bracket style tournament format. He's looking for 8 college teams. Drexel, Rutgers, and Purdue are in. I think Illinois said they were going as well.
